Projects on tobacco control 

My work on Health Promotion took me to collaborate in the International Tobacco Control Project, the largest scale project evaluating policies, programs and factors associated with smoking cessation. In addition to publications, we worked hard to translate scientific knowledge into health prevention and promotion programs. Most of them were deployed international or nation-wide. 

A MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN FOR A 22 MILLION CITY
Using applied epidemiology and social Marketing, we developed a mass media campaign to promote smoke-free public spaces. Materials were implemented in Mexico City with a multi-million budget.

WARNING LABELS IN TOBACCO PRODUCTS
We developed the warning labels that were officially implemented in Mexico in all cigarette packages.

STATISTICAL ANALYSIS FOR IMPROVING PROGRAMS, POLICIES AND INTERVENTIONS

From our work in the International Tobacco Control and Policy Evaluation, a number of scientific papers made an impact and shaped the policies for Tobacco Control, in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
